Anyone from the age 17years can use Kura App including students, lecturers, subject experts, tutors, project assistants, authors, publishers, book vendors, accommodation renters, academic services providers, readers, and anyone within the study and academic environment.

Is Kura App free?

Kura App is free for download and also offers many free values for our new users. However, we have a generous subscription plan for your convenience and continuous use and engagement.

Where can I download Kura App?

Kura App is available for download in Apple store for the IOS version and also in Play store for the Android version, and you can start your journey on our web at www.thekura.co/

What features does Kura App offer?

Kura App offers us a variety of features such as the up-cycle, accommodation, freelance, e-library, scholarships, and Bookstore.

  1. In our up-cycle, you can exchange, recycle, buy, and sell all your used school items with ease.
  2. Our accommodation allows you to find your preferred roommates or your kind of hostels and vacant rooms in your school or locality.
  3. The Beta-help features enable you to find experts, tutors and subject assistance in any course or your school projects, assessments, and assignment undertakings. You can also post any work both academic and non-academic that you need assistance/ support/ help with, and an expert will reach you.
  4. In our e-library, you can find all journals, articles, books, and publications in any field, you can search for them, explore, read, or download the materials following the prompts.
  5. Scholarship: Our generous scholarship tab brings all scholarships around the world close to your fingertips. The scholarships are bespoke and tailored to your eligibility and needs. Just browse and apply with ease.
  6. The bookstore features are specifically designed for Authors, Book writers, Book Vendors, Book Authorities, and publishers to list their books. Anyone (users) can explore their book interest and reach out to them via chat and order or buy the books.

What can I do with the up-cycle?

Our up-cycle offers users, mostly students, the platform to sell and buy used school items. This enables recycling and exchange of the resources and items they have pre-used whilst studying such as reading table, chair, bed, books etc.

Can everyone post or list items in the bookstore?

Anybody can browse and use the bookstore, but it is exclusively reserved for (Authors, Writers, Book Vendors, Book Publishers) to post and list their books, academic work, and intellectual products for sale. This enables more people and any user on Kura platform to discover them and patronise their work. So only the verified authors, writers and book vendors can list on Bookstore but every user on Kura platform can explore bookstores to buy books.

How does the accommodation feature work?

Kura accommodation feature allows you to add accommodation (vacant rooms and roommates) on the platform thereby allowing the students and accommodation seekers to find them. This helps students find preferred roommates and suitable vacant room accommodations in the right places, right prices, and the right time.

What is Kura Refund Policy?

Kura does not refund any payments or subscription on the platform, but you can always message us on the issues or challenges you may have with your subscriptions via our contact form.

What is acceptable ID document for Bookstore verification?

Any form of nationally approved ID-document (Driver license, international passport, Voter’s card and National ID card, and Proof of Book partnerships, vendor arrangement/agreement, book vending licence, Book business document, and publishing document) is acceptable by Kura. Once it is uploaded/sent to use, we will verify and activate Kura Bookstore posting/listing access to the user.

What is Kura App data and privacy policy for user’s data?

Your information is safe with us. Kura is committed to maintaining a very high standard of data integrity on the platform and has also implemented best-in-class coding measures to encrypt and protect your information from theft, loss, or corruption. How to buy/transact/exchange/fulfil items or project, and use Kura?

Kura does not fulfill sales, exchange, or transact on behalf of any user. We only provided a platform to meet the resources needs of students and other participants in the academic and study community. When an item is posted and you have interest in the item, you can reach the poster/listener via our in-app chat messenger or in-app call to discuss item/project description, price, inspection, pickup, or delivery arrangements.

How to post an item on Kura?

Any user can post their items on Kura platform and our posting/listing of items process is very simple. Our interface is designed to enable you to make a post in less than 3 steps and your item is published. As soon as you sign in, use the plus (+) sign on any categories to add your post by adding an item name, category, description, price, and images of the item and click publish/post button. Done!

How do I report a fraud, abuse, scam, or illegal activity?

Our platform is guided by a number of community guidelines and safety rules for the safe use for everyone. If you have to report any incident, you must use the “report user” or “report item” menu feature on the account or item and follow prompts. Or you can email contact@thekura.co quoting the “item-ID” or “account-user-ID”. We take any report and incidents of abuse of Kura platform seriously.

How do I protect myself from harm, abuse and being scammed?

keep your account safe- never share personal, bank information or account information on this app with anyone including phone numbers, pins, passwords, or any other sensitive data. Kura would never ask you to do so. Do not pay without getting your services or items on the spot. Always make your personal safety a priority: Do not inspect an item alone, always go with someone and organise a safe public place for transactions, items inspections or pickup, even when engaging or meeting a freelancer (Beta-help expert).

Can I share a post or my post with someone?

Yes, you can. We have a shareable link feature/icon that enables you to share your post or other users posts and listings to friends and loved ones. It also enables you to share them on other public social media platforms including emails. Just click on the icon and you will have a number of share options linked to the post.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes, you can change your subscription plan only when your active plan has expired.

How do I become a Kura ambassador?

To become an ambassador, first, you must be a member of the Kura community by signing up, downloading, and posting on any features in the Kura app, this is the baseline qualification, then you have to follow prompts at Kura Ambassador Application.

How do I apply for Kura Endowment Scholarship?

To qualify for Kura Scholarship, first, you must be a member of the Kura community by signing up, downloading, and posting on any features in Kura app, this is the baseline qualification, then you have to follow prompts at Kura Endowment Scholarship Application.

Can I partner with Kura?

Yes, you can partner with us on any level. Use our contact form on our website with the subject “Kura Partnerships” and write to us about your proposals and nature of the partnership, and we will be happy to reach you.

This platform can only be used for the purpose it is built for, any abuse might lead to suspension from further engaging with some parts or the whole contents on the platform. Individuals must report any suspicions and feedback to Kura using the provided channels. Deletions & disabling of account, & discontinuation of kura App use

When you DISABLE your account, your account will become inactive and you can always log back in/recover your account by verifying your email and other login details that may be required. When a user DELETES their accounts, they will never have access to the account again and the system wipes out their entire data after 60 days.
